How to create a WhatsApp link and QR code
Build a direct chat link and useful print assets. Your customers can start a conversation without saving your number first.
Add your WhatsApp number
Choose a country for a local number or enter the complete international number starting with +. Check the normalized destination. Format validation cannot confirm that the number has an active WhatsApp account.
Prepare the first hello
Write an optional opening message or edit a starter for a quote, appointment, product question or support request. Customers can edit the message and choose whether to send it.
Make the design yours
Add your business name, logo and brand colour. Choose Clean, Bold or Minimal and a poster, counter sign or business card format. The logo stays outside the QR to keep the code readable.
Download, test and share
Copy your direct chat link, download QR-only PNG or SVG files, or export a branded PDF. Print at actual size and scan the final print before distributing it. Changes to the number or message need a new QR and a new print.

WhatsApp link and QR questions
Is this WhatsApp link and QR code generator free?
Yes. Create links, download PNG and SVG QR images, and export branded print PDFs without signup, payment or a watermark. Saving kits locally and downloading JSON backups are also free.
How do I format an international WhatsApp number?
Enter a full number starting with + and its country code, or choose a country before entering a national number. Spaces, brackets and dashes are accepted. The tool displays the normalized international destination and creates a digits-only wa.me link. Extensions and short codes are not supported.
Does this send a message automatically?
No. A link or scan opens a chat with an optional prepared message. The customer can change that text and must choose to send it. This tool does not send messages through the WhatsApp API or connect to a WRKZY account.
Can you confirm that my number has a WhatsApp account?
No. Validation checks phone-number formatting using international numbering metadata. It does not contact WhatsApp to verify registration or ownership. Use Test in WhatsApp and review the destination yourself before sharing.
Does the QR code expire?
There is no WRKZY expiry or subscription on these static QR codes. They contain a direct WhatsApp link rather than a hosted WRKZY redirect. Their usefulness depends on the destination number remaining available on WhatsApp. WRKZY cannot guarantee the availability of WhatsApp or the phone account.
Can I change a QR code after printing it?
Editing a saved kit creates a new link and QR when its number or message changes. It does not update a code already printed or shared. Regenerate the code and replace the printed or digital artwork when you change its destination or message.
Are my number, message and logo uploaded?
Numbers, messages, business details and logos are processed locally in your browser and are not uploaded to WRKZY by this tool. Existing site analytics can record fixed tool actions without those contents. Opening the test link explicitly shares its destination and prepared message with WhatsApp. Downloads contain your entered details, so share them intentionally.
Can I track how many people scan my code?
This version does not provide scan counts, visitor tracking, campaign attribution or editable hosted destinations. A placement name helps organize your saved kits only. Different opening messages can give customers context, but they do not provide reliable attribution.
Which print sizes and downloads are available?
PNG and SVG downloads contain a QR on opaque white with a clear margin. Branded PDFs come in three styles and six sizes: poster A4 or US Letter; counter sign A5 or Half Letter (5.5 × 8.5 in); business card 85 × 55 mm or 3.5 × 2 in. PDFs contain selectable text and vector QR modules. They have no bleed or cutting-sheet layout.
Why can’t a long message fit on a small printed card?
Longer encoded links create denser QR codes. The designer protects a minimum QR square and module size instead of squeezing the pattern onto a card. Shorten the opening message or choose a larger print format. The link and QR image downloads can remain available. Readability safeguards cannot guarantee every printer, surface or phone camera; test the final print.
Will my kits be here when I return?
Up to 50 named kits, resized logos and display preferences autosave in IndexedDB in this browser when storage is available, within a 25 MB library limit. Clearing site data removes them. Download a JSON backup to keep a copy or restore it on another device. Storage and conflicting-tab errors appear visibly; keep the tab open and download a backup before reloading.
Can I use emojis or other languages?
The opening message supports Unicode, including emoji and line breaks, within this tool’s 500-character and 2000-character encoded-link limits. Printed text uses bundled fonts. If a printed character is unsupported or text will not fit, PDF export explains what to change rather than silently dropping the character. The interface is initially English.
