- A verified WRKZY account in the intended workspace
- A primary goal: sales, support, customer engagement, or customer operations
- The business timezone and operating currency
- A teammate, customer example, and company-owned channel available when ready
Agree on one problem worth improving first. “Set up WRKZY” is not an operating goal; “resolve every support conversation with an owner and outcome” is. Have the business timezone and operating currency confirmed because they affect due times, reporting, deals, and quote values.
Complete the seven onboarding decisions
1. Choose what to improve first
Select Sales, Support, Customer engagement, or Customer operations. This choice shapes the final activation checklist; it does not permanently disable other modules.
Choose the goal whose success can be observed within a week. For example, choose Support if your first proof point is a shared conversation resolved on time, even if sales will use WRKZY later.
2. Set the operating context
Enter the organization name, operating timezone, and one of the currencies offered in onboarding. Use the timezone in which the team interprets “today,” follow-ups, and response commitments. Choose the currency in which managers need comparable pipeline and quote totals.
3. Design customer work
Select the work types your team handles: Sales, Support, Customer Success, and/or Billing. Then answer two design questions:
- Are the same people responsible for every selected area?
- Do any areas require different access, identity, hours, routing, SLA, or compliance policies?
When responsibility and policy are shared, WRKZY recommends one Customer Work inbox with purpose-based saved views. When there is a real responsibility or policy boundary, separate team inboxes may be appropriate. Selecting no work types starts with one flexible Customer Work inbox.
4. Bring your team
Open team settings in the new tab. Invite only the teammates needed for the first workflow and assign the least role that lets them perform it. Owners and Admins can manage this step; a Member can skip it and ask an Administrator to complete the invitation.
5. Add customer context
Use a single authorized contact or a clearly named internal test contact before importing a full list. A useful first record has enough identity to distinguish the customer and enough relationship context to support the chosen workflow.
6. Connect a channel
Choose a supported company-owned channel and open its configuration. Connection is an administrative step and may require provider authorization. It is safe to select Skip for now and complete the provider work after onboarding; never connect a personal or unapproved account just to finish the step.
7. Review the activation checklist
WRKZY displays a checklist tailored to the selected goal. Read it as a definition of first value:
| Goal | Evidence to create |
|---|---|
| Sales | First prospect, pipeline opportunity, and sent or scheduled follow-up |
| Support | Connected support channel, teammate, and resolved shared conversation |
| Customer engagement | Connected channel, reusable campaign, and reviewed engagement activity |
| Customer operations | Imported customer context, assignment, and follow-through workflow |
Select Enter WRKZY. You arrive at the workspace dashboard with the activation goal in context.
Turn onboarding choices into operating proof
- 01ScopeChoose the decision view
Use My Work, Team, Revenue, or Insights for the question and responsibility you are reviewing.
- 02SignalRead the signal and its coverage
Treat counts, urgency, trends, and empty states as attention cues—not conclusions.
- 03VerifyOpen the source record
Confirm the customer, current state, evidence, owner, and timing where the work lives.
- 04ActDecide and assign the next action
Complete, delegate, or schedule one specific outcome with a responsible person.
- 05OutcomeVerify the operating result
Check the source record first, then confirm that the queue or summary reflects the change.
Verify the workspace, not the wizard
Within the intended workspace:
- Confirm the organization name, timezone, and currency in settings.
- Confirm the inbox recommendation matches the actual team and policy boundary.
- Verify that invited teammates can enter with their own accounts.
- Confirm the first customer record is identifiable and authorized.
- Send and receive only with an approved test recipient, then verify the channel state.
- Assign the resulting customer work and complete the goal-specific checklist.
If progress will not save
- Keep the entered values and note the step number shown above the form.
- Confirm the session is still active and you remain in the intended organization.
- Correct any visible validation error before retrying.
- Do not repeatedly create organizations or reconnect providers as a workaround.
- If support is needed, include the step name, approximate time, workspace slug, and a sanitized screenshot—never passwords, codes, or provider tokens.
Measurable completion
Onboarding is complete when the team can run one end-to-end customer journey with clear ownership and evidence. Measure time to first assigned conversation, first resolved outcome, or first completed commercial follow-up—not the number of settings visited.
- Primary goal selected
- Timezone and currency confirmed
- Inbox design matches responsibility and policy
- Least-privilege team access established
- Authorized customer example added
- Channel test verified or intentionally deferred
- First operating checklist completed
